Calcinatio – Experimento #1 is a video study on desire in which I explore the interpolation of two movement-based narratives.

The video evokes a sense of melancholy, with actions held in constant suspension, as if stripped of definitive meaning—suggesting the performer’s state is on the verge of transformation at any moment.

This work is loosely inspired by Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology and his concept of flesh as kinship between the seer and the seen, between the sensing body and the sensed world, as articulated in The Visible and the Invisible.

The work was filmed and edited by Lua Voigt.
