“Gestures that survive in us” is a video created from a proposition to nine performers, each filming themselves at home under a shared aesthetic guideline.
The result is a visual composition of nine different bodies, unified in color yet differentiated by their gestures.
Camouflaged and distorted, each body remains unique, expressing its own interiority.
Overlapping video layers reflect our screen-mediated world, while the ambient sounds—news, household noise, moments of silence—document the specific time of the work’s creation.
We are constantly shaped by our surroundings, just as we shape them in return.
