“La blanche” is a video performance in still motion format where I paint myself white, confronting the psychological and colonial residues of racialized identity.

Inspired by Frantz Fanon’s Black Skin, White Masks, this work explores the tensions between visibility, erasure, and imposed identities.

Through the repetitive act of covering my skin, I embody the internalized struggles of assimilation and the paradox of hypervisibility and invisibility.

The still motion technique amplifies the fragmentation of the self, mirroring the ways in which racialized bodies navigate imposed narratives.
