About the Work:

Satellite Theory deals with power and perspective. As a work of video art, it addresses the complications of distance, warfare, and loss stemming from weaponized surveillance systems. I was concerned with the flattening and erasure of presence, lives, and evidence mediated by the satellite’s lens and how this flattening distances us from empathy.
