About the Work:

The raw material for this creation has given rise to a TRIO of different videos, this being the third. An unconscious association, a fleeting memory about the work of the Dutch artist M. C. ESCHER, master of illusions, led me to review his impossible realities, his parallel worlds between realism and fantasy, to associate them with another spatiality, an infinite train, and some haunting ghosts, in the aforementioned raw material, choosing RELATIVITY, a lithograph from 1953, whose system of stairs disrupts the nature of reality, resulting in a symbiosis of the traditional pictorial plane with the moving image and sound of the video, not in Seven decades have passed in vain. The expressive quality of lithography takes over the new multidimensional construct that is offered to the observer in the evanescence of the digital image for a short time, proposing an interpretation of the desire of ESCHER, the original creator, whose ingenious and delicate work plays with the idea of jump from the plane of paper where he draws to an imagined three-dimensionality, which he also manages to draw, and to the illusion or fiction of a possible entity that moves from contemplation to emotion, a renewed aesthetic experience.
