ABOUT THE GALLERY

At Experimental Loop, we are continually seeking to expand our vibrant gallery of innovative and creative artists who delve into the vast universe of video art and new media. If your artistry navigates the fascinating complexity of Video Loop, the meticulous magic of Stop Motion, the expressive versatility of Animation, or the intensity of Video Performance, we are eager to discover your work.

Our gallery is a haven for Mini-Documentaries, visual narratives of GIFs, and digital creations of Machinima. If you have experimented with Video Mapping, created Video Installations that challenge the senses, or explored the three-dimensional frontiers of Holograms, your art has a place with us. We are particularly interested in works that venture into the immersive worlds of VR/AR and the unique aesthetic of Net Art and Game Art.

At Experimental Loop, your artistic vision will find a space where it is appreciated, discussed, and celebrated. Send us your portfolio and join a community of artists who, like you, are redefining the boundaries of art in the digital era. Your art is not only welcome; it is essential to our mission of fostering and showcasing the diversity and richness of new media  art.

However, we are open to mini-documentaries and extended-duration art videos, provided they are an integral part of the concept and process of the work.

Evaluation and Selection Process at Experimental Loop

We are committed to ensuring a transparent and fair evaluation and selection process for all artists interested in joining our gallery. To participate, artists must submit a portfolio consisting of a careful selection of 10 works, which must be directly related to video art and new media.

Each work presented in the portfolio should be accompanied by a detailed technical sheet, including dimensions, duration, year of creation, and any other relevant technical specifications. Furthermore, we require an artistic statement for each piece, where the artist explains their vision, concept, and the context in which the work was created. For a more comprehensive evaluation, we encourage artists to include additional visual material, such as images or videos, to enhance the understanding of their work.

Our team of experts will evaluate each proposal with care and attention to detail. This process may take up to 40 days from the receipt of the application. Once the evaluation is complete, we will contact the artist to inform them of the outcome and, if approved, proceed to the second stage of the process.

It is important to mention that during the evaluation, not only the technical and aesthetic quality of the works will be valued, but also their coherence with the theme of video art and new media, as well as originality and contribution to the contemporary artistic dialogue.

We thank all artists for their interest in joining Experimental Loop and assure them a considerate and respectful review process of their art.
